Much of our work is carried out at larger properties. (Gallery)
Costs of drinking and irrigation water for larger houses, often with higher occupant consumption and extensive gardens, are an increasing concern.
The payback period for a waterwell borehole installed at a larger property is likely to be significantly shorter than that for a smaller house with more limited land area.
We are often asked to combine the provision of a waterwell borehole with the drilling of geothermal boreholes for a ground source heat pump system.
The heating demands of a large property require considerable provision of ground source heat collectors. Large areas are necessary if horizontal collectors are used.
Many larger properties have substantial grounds. However, these are often landscaped, planted and cultivated. Owners do not wish to see long established lawns and gardens excavated to install horizontal collectors.
It is then that the borehole collector, or geothermal loop is preferred.
We use environmentally friendly equipment to protect the site. We take great care to minimize disruption to existing gardens.
The owners of larger properties often wish to combine the provision of water and geothermal boreholes with a comprehensive energy efficiency improvement at their property. We work together with expert partners that specialise in the auditing of energy requirements for larger properties.
They will recommend an individually tailored, integrated package to the property owner. This can be a combination of, geothermal, wind, rainwater harvesting, solar energy, microhydro, biomass heating etc. The owner is free to pick his, or her, preferred combination of technologies.
The project will be coordinated and managed by one partner. The owner avoids dealing with numerous sub contractors.
