TeamDrill

TeamDrill

(This page is for other drilling companies only)

TeamDrill is the name for a voluntary association of small to medium sized drilling companies initiated by Synergy Boreholes and Systems Ltd. (Synergy).

Each of the participating companies will be a successful business entity in its own right. Each will continue to operate independently under its own existing name and with no claims from, or debts to, any other company unless mutually agreed. There are no formal obligations (except service quality, see further down the page).

OBJECTIVES

The companies participating in TeamDrill will be located in different parts of the country. They will have established reputations within the drilling industry. Typically they will have 1,2 or 3 rotary hydraulic drills engaged in the drilling of both waterwell boreholes and geothermal boreholes.

The creation of TeamDrill is intended to achieve the following;

  •
A combination of resources from the member companies allowing TeamDrill to quote collectively and competitively for larger jobs.
  • More effective geographical resource allocation, i.e. it is usually more logistically cost effective for a company to work on projects close to their home base with familiar geology, rather than far away where another TeamDrill associate company may be much closer to the project site.
  • Should a company be busy, its resources occupied, it can cooperate the assistance of other TeamDrill members.

How will this work in practice?

  • Each company continues to trade independently exactly as before.
  • Any company receiving an enquiry or opportunity which may require more resources than it has readily available, is free to call on other TeamDrill companies for assistance via our password protected website page. Usually this assistance will take the form of the lead company employing the second company as a subcontractor for a mutually agreed price. It is however entirely up to the companies involved to come to a mutually acceptable agreement.
  • Any company receiving an enquiry from far afield is of course free to take the job, wherever it is, or, they may choose to approach other participating companies who may be located closer to the prospective site. This can be done via the dedicated page on our website without revealing client details. Cooperation can be arranged on an agreed commission basis, or again as a subcontracted job.

Using this facility may therefore make it possible to earn a profit from jobs that may otherwise simply have been missed or rejected as impractical.

Initially at least, drilling opportunities for display on the website should be emailed to us at Synergy. Depending on usage and technical feasibility, it may later be possible to access the page entry directly

QUALITY
Since our name will be associated with this initiative, we will expect participating companies to operate to certain standards of customer care, site cleanliness, safety, employment of quality materials etc. (Synergy reserve the right to determine which companies are capable of consistently meeting these standards and therefore which companies will be invited to join TeamDrill)

WHAT WE WILL NOT DO

Understandably, we will not be using our website to showcase other companies, only drilling contract opportunities.

What to do next if you are interested
TeamDrill opportunities are to be found on the special Synergy Boreholes and Systems Ltd. website page, this page on the website is password protected. Individual passwords may be applied for at info@synergyboreholes.co.uk or by phoning on 01 491 828 208. (Recognised UK drilling companies only please)

This facility will initially and experimentally, be free. Why?, because we ourselves will hopefully be exposed to more opportunities through more contacts. However, as a small / medium sized operation we have the same constraints as many other companies, we would therefore also, be in a position to pass work on to others. In short, all of us involved may hope that this could be a win-win situation, if not, little is lost, apart from the costs to Synergy in providing the website facility.

We are well aware that in these times of recession, enquiries are less frequent than in the not too distant past, those that do come in are followed up painstakingly. We therefore do not anticipate a sudden great onrush of prospective jobs being advertised through this facility. However, economic cycles progress, the wheel turns and as it does, we may hope that this grows into something really useful to us all.
