Premier Inn has just opened a new ‘Eco Hotel’ in Camborne.

The 65 bed hotel was opened last week on Treswithian Road.

Efficient under floor heating will be incorporated in the Trevithick Inn to avoid the need for radiators; solar PV panels will provide electricity and electric car charging points will be installed in the car park. Similarly, LED lighting will be fitted in the reception and restaurant to reduce electricity consumption.

Premier Inn has opened an eco hotel in Cornwall as part of its continued drive towards environmentally sound business practice. 

The 65-bedroom site, which opened on Monday 23rd January, features a number of in-built designs to reduce energy use.

Ground source heat pumps warm and cool rooms and water. 70 % of the hotel’s hot water, heating and air conditioning will be provided in this way, according to Premier Inn’s parent-company, Whitbread.

Synergy, working in partnership with the award winning renewable energy company IsoEnergy were proud to deliver the borehole array for this project on time and on budget.
