Geological Surveys
WATER / GEOTHERMAL BOREHOLE SURVEY
In order to give you a quote for your water borehole, we will need to know how far down we must drill, i.e. how deep down the water table is. Similarly for geothermal boreholes, it is of great benefit to know what the geological structure is under the proposed site, this can significantly influence the borehole requirement, i.e. number and depth.
In both cases the required information is provided by a Geological Survey. We offer alternative sources for a survey
BGS (British Geological Survey)
The BGS offers an exclusively online survey ordering service

Should you ask us to commission your BGS survey we will add £25 on to the BGS charge to cover administration costs.
Envireau / Carbon Zero (Geothermal)
Carbon Zero offer a similar service to the BGS but at a slightly cheaper rate.

In addition, for geothermal boreholes Carbon Zero will usually indicate the number and depth of boreholes required.

All the sources above will require the following information:
- Full address and postcode for the proposed bore hole(s) If a specific location is required on a large property (important for water boreholes) they will require a sketch or diagram.
- How you wish to receive the report, i.e. Hard copy by post, or by e-mail.
- Billing address if different to the borehole site address
- Method of payment
To enable us to react quickly to your survey, please ask the above providers to email a copy to Synergy Boreholes The staff know us!, this will not cost any extra.
Alternatively, we can arrange the survey. We speak to the above bodies on a regular basis. We will charge you a £25 administration fee in addition to fee of the provider
