We can now offer similar high quality geological survey reports to those produced by the BGS, but at a lower price.
The reports can be commissioned with either

The price ranges are
Water borehole prognosis reports
Up to 20m3 per day : £525
More than 20m3 per day but less than 100m3 per day : £625
Over 100m3 per day POA
These reports will be sent as a hard copy to the recipient and/or emailed.
Again, have looked for high quality alternatives to the BGS service. The reports below are not cheaper than those offered by the BGS. They do however, particularly for higher capacity Ground Source Heat Pumps, include important elements of system design and dimensioning not provided by the BGS.
The reports will be commissioned with

We can now offer the following range of surveys as an alternative to the BGS reports.
Geothermal Borehole reports
Closed Loop Georeport
Less than 15KW : £475
More than 15KW but less than 30KW : £675
Over 30KW but less than 45KW : £1025
More than 45 KW : Price on application
The increased cost is due to the fact that once 15kW is exceeded, the ground array will be modelled, this gives not only a high degree of confidence in the resulting design but also ensures the most cost effective array is chosen. This has particular advantages on sites with limited space.
Alternatively
We have recently identified a third reputable provider who offers surveys at even more competitive prices

Baker Associates also provide surveys for water well and geothermal boreholes
Rates charged are:
Domestic water borehole survey : £400
Geothermal borehole survey : £260
Borehole dimensioning, i.e. number and depth, together with array design and layout : from £400
Very strongly recommended for larger projects, i.e. above 15 kW, where mistakes can be very costly.
Rates for larger / commercial geothermal installations can be negotiated by us.
To give some perspective: one 100m borehole more or less in a geothermal borehole array can make a difference of more than £3000 to the total system cost. Seen against this, the price of the above reports is certainly a wise investment.
