Water Boreholes and Water Well Drilling

Water Borehole

Access to drinking water is essential for survival. Charging the public for drinking water was a largely victorian invention. The right of water companies to make very substantial profits for providing water, sometimes not too efficiently, sometimes not at all (hosepipe bans), is a recent innovation.

In the 21st century, an important degree of personal freedom remains. Almost everyone who owns land in the UK is entitled to extract water from a borehole or well for their own use, without any license or permission being required (within generous, quantified, limits). We will help you do this.

Garden irrigation water, drawn from the mains supply, represents wastage of the energy and your money used for refining it, filtering it, pumping it, addition of chlorine, fluorides to it, and the leakage losses in distribution.

Why not have your own private water supply? pure, almost free, water.

Our water boreholes are practically invisible and can be placed close to buildings and covered with turf, gravel, paving etc. siting?

Synergy Boreholes and Systems Ltd. provide waterwells and water borehole systems throughout the South of England.

We operate within the provisions of the 1993 Water Act.

We drill water boreholes to feed your animals/stock, irrigate your garden, or golf course, fill your pool, pond. Or just to give you pure drinking water.

See a typical sequence of events for a waterwell borehole project.

We use only high quality borehole equipment, e.g. Grundfos pumps.

To give you a quote for your private water supply project, we need to know:

  • Geological (BGS) survey results
  • Intended use of borehole water (irrigation/domestic)
  • Access limitations our smallest (MC405 rig) requires 1.6 m minimum width access.
  • Other equipment you require, storage, UV/filtration, outlets, irrigation etc.

We provide large irrigation schemes together with our partners, the largest private garden irrigation company in the UK.

Four easy steps to your Water Borehole

1) Ask the BGS for a survey. (We need this to tell us how deep down the groundwater is. This will determine your borehole depth and therefore cost). The waiting time is 3-4 weeks, the BGS will charge £352. Or, let us take care of this for you. (See also surveys, menu above right, for instructions).

2) Once we have the survey, we can give you a borehole quote within 48 hours. The quote can encompass as much or as little as you wish, i.e. from just the borehole with one tap outlet, to a complete private water supply system with storage tank, UV/filtration units. Obtain other competitive quotes! Compare what is offered.

3) We can visit you to discuss your water borehole project and survey the site. We will agree a fixed price.

4) We drill and equip your water borehole on dates agreed. (On average this will take about a week or ten days.

Potable/Drinking Water

Our °UKAS accredited laboratory will test the water from your borehole.

We then provide the storage tanks, filtration, UV sterilisation units, to give you good, clean, unchlorinated, (and cheap!), drinking water.

Our apologies for the repeated use of the words Water Boreholes and Geothermal Boreholes on these pages, such are the dictates of search engine requirements.

"Sorry for the delay in responding to your email, but we are in Spain and have been away from our computer for a few days.
Synergy Boreholes and Systems Ltd completed the installation of our borehole a few days before we left on holiday and we are entirely satisfied with the work they have done. The water pressure coming out of the taps is excellent. Our housekeeper has spoken to us whilst we have been here in Spain and said how happy she is with the outside taps for doing the watering and cleaning, etc.
Antony and his team are extremely hard workers and on the first day of drilling worked until it became dark. In all the installation took about 3 days, although we had to wait a period of two weeks for settlement of the initial drilling until the pump, etc. were fitted.
We are so pleased that we can now water our garden without fear of the water board threats of installing a water meter. We have a large flower and vegetable garden, and irrigation of these areas was the prime reason for the borehole.
We did obtain two quotes and would have asked for more if the other companies had the courtesy of responding. Synergy Boreholes and Systems Ltd are competitive in cost but more important are very professional and keep you advised of progress. As far as on going support is concerned, we have yet to find out, but we have no doubt that it will be just as thorough as the care we have had throughout the installation.
We would highly recommend Synergy Boreholes and Systems Ltd to you and if you need any further observations, please do not hesitate to contact us again.
Regards,"
