Beacon Hill

Synergy Boreholes were contracted by Kensa through the principal contractor Morganstone. The development will transform the former University of Wales Trinity St David’s campus in to an outstanding 165 new homes being provided for affordable sale and rent.

The project consisted of 34 geothermal boreholes at depths between 89m and 188m with 40mm and 45mm loops being used, the project timeframe was for the drilling to be completed by July 2023 and we managed to complete the drilling 3 weeks early and then move onto the headerwork and connecting of the geothermal loops back to the manifold and then into the main building and bases of the plots. The challenge we faced on this project the lack of water with multiple trades also working onsite, through drilling techniques and through our mud recycling units we managed this issue.
