Liddell Building

We were contracted to do the drilling of 50 boreholes at a depth of 68 m, with the design taking into consideration the artesian risk at 70 m or more. The other challenge on this project was the small window for drilling of 4 weeks and then for the connecting of the boreholes into pipe to be completed in 2 weeks to work around the school’s holidays and to get the rugby pitch back before the start of the season. To ensure we met the timetable. 3 drilling rigs started the project, and we finished the last borehole in the 4 weeks. We started the fusion welding into the 5 manifolds at the end of each borehole array and connected this into the pipes that was directional drilled under the cricket pitch and into the Liddell building.
